ABOUT US

Bethany

Bethany

I didn’t get into design through a formal degree—I got here by doing the work, learning on the job, and staying curious every step of the way. DIY Remodeling and hands-on design has taught me how to create spaces that aren’t just beautiful, but actually work for the people living in them.

I love helping clients uncover their style, make smart choices, and pull everything together into a space that feels just right. You’ll hear me say often, “This is your home—I’m not the one living in it,” because I truly believe design should reflect you, not me.

At DFW Design Co., I lead our amazing team and stay closely involved with your contractor to make sure everything goes smoothly. We’re here to bring your vision to life—and make the process feel a whole lot easier along the way.

When Bethany and I bought our first home, we didn’t have much of a furniture budget—so I decided to build what we needed myself. The first time I ran a piece of rough lumber through a saw, I was hooked. What started as a necessity quickly turned into a passion. There’s nothing like the smell of sawdust, the hum of the tools, and the satisfaction of turning raw materials into something both beautiful and useful.

These days, you’ll usually find me in the shop, working on custom pieces for our clients—or inside, where Bethany makes sure I stay on top of the business side of things (yes, that includes payroll and spreadsheets).

Meet the Team

Meet the women behind DFW Design Co.—a creative, down-to-earth team bringing clarity, style, and heart to every project.

I’ve always been drawn to the way thoughtful design and soft materials can completely transform a space. If there’s furniture to source or fabrics to select, I’m all in—nothing makes me happier than helping clients pull together pieces that feel both beautiful and livable. I love guiding clients toward choices that not only look great, but serve a purpose—just like William Morris said: “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me cheering on my two busy boys from the sidelines of a soccer, baseball, or basketball game. In my free time, I love live music, barre and yoga, a great meal (preferably with a glass of cab), and a bingeworthy show. My happy place? Anywhere my toes are in the sand and my favorite people are close by.

I didn’t set out to work in design—my background is in Labor and Delivery nursing—but after getting married and setting up our first home, I realized how much I loved the process. What started as a fun hobby quickly became a true passion. I’ve always been drawn to making things feel beautiful and welcoming, and I find so much joy in bringing out the charm and potential in every space.

I feel most at home when I’m decorating. My style leans toward simple elegance—nothing too complicated or overdone, just thoughtful details that make a space feel fresh, stylish, and lived in. It’s such a rewarding challenge to help clients see their homes in a new light.

I’m passionate about turning houses into homes—spaces that not only look beautiful but feel good to live in. To me, great design is about more than aesthetics; it’s about creating comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging for everyone who walks through the door. I love helping clients shape spaces that reflect their stories and support their everyday lives in meaningful ways.

When I’m not working on design projects or chasing after our two little ones with my husband, you’ll likely find me outside on a long walk, curled up with a great book, or enjoying a cooking or baking show.

OUR DESIGN PROCESS

Good design starts with great listening. While each project is unique, our process typically includes:

Discovery: We take the time to understand you, your lifestyle, and the way you want to live in your space.

Concept: We translate your vision into a clear, cohesive design direction tailored just for you.

Design Development: We refine every detail—curating selections, coordinating layouts, and preparing for installation.

Implementation: We bring the vision to life, so you can enjoy a finished space that feels like home.

Final Touches: After install, we walk through the space together, tie up any loose ends, and capture finished photos of your project.

A Note about Contractors...

DFW Design Co. does not handle any construction management for projects. But like any service, we suggest obtaining three quotes from three different contractors before beginning work. We are happy to provide you recommendations for General Contractors we have worked with and enjoyed. Just let us know!
